We believe that both WinSLAMM and WinDETPOND are useful tools for analyzing water quality, hydrology, and hydraulic problems. We have made them as user-friendly as we can, but we also assume that the user has had experience using computer models and has had training dealing with stormwater management issues. We are very interested in improving the program and correcting any problems you might find. If you run into software bugs using either of the programs, please send all data files and parameter files, along with a description of the problem, to jvoorhees@winslamm.com. If we can duplicate the problem, we should be able to fix it and get a patch back to you. If we can't duplicate the problem, we will try to help you work around it. We are not able to provide technical support to help you run the model. There are many different components to each model, and each model requires that you understand various hydraulic, water quality, and large scale and small storm hydrology concepts. If you have suggestions for model improvements, please let us know - we've modified the program in a number of ways, based upon user suggestions. WinSLAMM and WinDETPOND short courses are occasionally run through various University Extension programs or State Water Quality programs. If you are interested in upcoming courses or training for your company or program, please contact Caroline Burger at cburger@winslamm.com. Software updates will be posted on this web site as they become available, and can be opened with a password distributed via e-mail. This password is distributed to all users during the first year after they purchase the software.
